Zachary Bulthuis
Zachary Bulthuis became “Of Counsel” to Mehtalegal in 2011, after nearly ten years of working as a corporate trial lawyer for two of the nation's largest law firms. He is the founder of Huntington Legal Solutions, an Orange County based legal consultation group for individuals and small businesses.
Experience
Mr. Bulthuis is a 2001 graduate of the University of Southern California Law School, where he was on the Law Review and published an article concerning the privacy rights of public employees. In 1997 he received his bachelor's degree in history from the University of Redlands, graduating Summa Cum Laude. At Redlands, he was a varsity tennis player and was the Resident Director of a dormitory.
During law school, Mr. Bulthuis worked for a federal judge in New Mexico, and following graduation he worked for the High Court of American Samoa, drafting legal rulings and opinions for the Chief Justice.
Mr. Bulthuis began practicing law at Los Angeles' largest and oldest law firm, O'Melveny & Myers, before moving to Orange County to work as a senior trial lawyer at Dorsey & Whitney. Mr. Bulthuis' experience includes representing corporate and individual clients in business litigation, intellectual property, product liability, eminent domain, securities, entertainment, and other complex litigation. He has also taken immigration appeals and prosecuted criminal cases on a pro bono basis.
Mr. Bulthuis' clients have included Exxon, Merck & Co., 20th Century Fox, US Bank, ACE Insurance, U-Haul, the Screen Actor's Guild, and Bed Bath and Beyond, Irvine Sensors, and many small businesses and individuals.
