Corona Impact on Litigation

All California state and federal courts are closed to the public, with minimal exceptions for time sensitive matters or matters pertaining to the safety and security of the community, as a result of the COVID-19 public health threat.

Each county/district court has different dates regarding when they expect to reopen. However, these are moving dates, and they will continue to update us when they expect their courts to be open for general matters again. Criminal cases are still proceeding, as are emergency civil matters, including applications for restraining orders relating to domestic violence.

If we are representing you in a matter in state or federal court, we will be in touch with you with regard to any specific hearing date changes. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
